There are matters you should be aware of when you are buying or ordering your first boots:
Although our lasts (cobbler moulds) are designed to fit European feet, you should know the exact shoe number you use in Finland. The boot should not be too tight or loose at the sides (see A in diagramme below) – it should fit well. If you have a considerably broad foot or a high instep, or if you have had difficulties finding shoes that fit your feet well, give us a call or visit us at our Shop, which is situated on Mäkelänkätu (See address and map below). Mention when you place in your order, have you used boots before and what brand they have been.
Boots have a rather sturdier and stronger structure than regular shoes, so they need a period of 2-3 weeks of use before they feel right. If your heel rises a bit during walking in your new boots, that is alright, and will not be the case any longer over time.
All our shoes are full leather on the outside as well as on the inside. The inner middle sole of the boot as well as the outer sole are leather. The outer sole is covered by long-lasting rubber (see B in diagramme). You can also obtain the outer sole in leather. The heel hardened supporting part (see C in diagramme) is also shaped and pressed rubber, which will endure years of wear and tear remaining unchanged and supporting your foot in the best possible way.

We ship deliveries using the Finland Post's (www.posti.fi/english) Priority parcel. Normal delivery time to Nordic countries is 3-6 working days and rest of Europe 4-8 working days.
Priority parcels are delivered directly either to the addressee or the destination post office, depending on the country of destination.
